OUR PURPOSE: To Care deeply about people, helping them to eat well and be happy.

Our employee-managed initiative drives Ravitz Family Market’s outreach programs in the communities surrounding our five stores. After years of fielding requests from non-profits, Company President Steve Ravitz asked employees for their input, and the employee-led Cares Committee was born. Today, store employees on the Cares Committee nominate charities to support and all Ravitz Family Markets’ employees vote on the final list.  The Cares Committee then organizes and drives month-long fundraising campaigns for each selected non-profit. Starting soon we will be raising funds for Operation Yellow Ribbon from Memorial day through the 4th of July.

Simply by asking customers to donate money or supplies, Ravitz Family Markets has raised nearly $838,000 for non-profit organizations that help troops abroad, animals without a home, those without enough to eat, and patients suffering from a range of diseases.
