1968

As legend has it, Stanley Ravitz, on his way home from Atlantic City, got lost in Cherry Hill and pulled into a shopping center at Kings Hwy and Cherry Hill to ask for directions.  He noticed the Pantry Pride store and the shopping center were for sale.  That day, Stanley called his wife, Doris, to tell her he found his new career.

Stanley bought the store and the shopping center with his brother Edward, and reopened the store as a Shop N Bag.  Stanley’s sons eventually entered the Supermarket business.  His son Steve entered the business in 1969 after serving in the Army and his son Ron entered in the 1970’s.
