Bringing a can-do attitude to solving unconventional problems, Ken has led the creation of the company’s human resources and loss prevention departments. Today, he manages 27 employees responsible for benefits, professional development, training, and store security and safety. At the age of 27, Ken became the youngest person ever to join Ravitz Family Markets’ executive team.
Ken joined Ravitz Family Markets from Wakefern Food Corporation where he oversaw security for 12 stores. He joined Ravitz Family Markets as the Security Director and later transitioned to a human resources role. He considers the company’s strong relationship with its unions to be among his most notable accomplishments.
In the community, Ken is the Chairman for the Camden County’s Workforce Development Board’s Literacy Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. Ken also helped create the HireOne Program, which received an award from New Jersey’s State Employment and Training Commission for encouraging employers to hire a veteran, a person with special needs, or a person who was previously incarcerated. He also started a referral program to Camden County’s One-Stop Career Center that helps workers to achieve the basic math and reading skills necessary for employment. Ken was also elected as President of the Palmyra Borough Council and led the transformation of Legion Field into one of Burlington County’s top sports facilities.
In his spare time, Ken enjoys going to school, going to the Marlton Elks and spending time at the Jersey Shore. He lives in Medford with his wife.
