Senior Director of Labor Relations
In 1992, Ken joined Ravitz Family Markets from Wakefern Food Corporation where he oversaw security for 12 stores. He joined Ravitz Family Markets as the Security Director and later transitioned to a his current human resources role. Ken now oversees Human Resources and Labor Relations for our 1100 person company. He considers the company’s strong relationship with its unions and his work with the disabled to be among his most notable accomplishments.
In the community, Ken is the Chairman for the Camden County’s Workforce Development Board’s Literacy Committeeand a member of the Executive Committee. Ken also helped create the HireOne Program, which received an award from New Jersey’s State Employment and Training Commission for encouraging employers to hire a veteran, a person with special needs, or a person who was previously incarcerated. He has developed close relationships with groups that work with the disabled such as JFCS, Bancroft, The Arc of Camden County as well as several local high schools and runs several work opportunity programs at each one of our stores. He also started a referral program to Camden County’s One-Stop Career Center that helped workers to achieve the basic math and reading skills necessary for employment.
Ken has served on Palmyra Borough Council as a councilman and served as Council President for 4 years. Ken is a recent graduate of Wilmington University with a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management from Wilmington University. He is currently attending graduate school in pursuit of his Master Degree in Management. In his spare time, Ken enjoys going to school, riding in his jeep and spending time at the Jersey Shore. He lives in Medford with his wife.
