Brett Ravitz
Vice President of Merchandising
With perceptive insights on the latest grocery store trends, Brett Ravitz manages the company’s merchandising strategies to keep its five locations competitive. Some of his key accomplishments include the expansion of our stores’ health and wellness initiatives, continued focus on kosher offerings, and the expansion of our Ravitz Signature items. He is especially proud of the company’s strong relationships with its vendors and his history of participation in Wakefern Food Corporation committee structure.
Brett currently serves as chairman for Wakefern Food Corporation’s Grocery Committee which, among other things, evaluates promotional strategies and item assortment for all ShopRite locations. He also brings his merchandising experience to the division focused on Own Brand development.
Brett grew up in the grocery industry. Operating cash registers and bagging groceries were among his first responsibilities with Ravitz Family Markets. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before becoming one of the company’s assistant store managers. Since 2005, Brett has served as Ravitz Family Markets’ director of non-perishables, senior director of merchandising, and is currently vice president of merchandising.
With a strong commitment to the community, Brett currently serves as President of the Ravitz Family Foundation. Continuing the families’ great history of giving back is a great priority. Having two daughters with celiac has led Brett to a strong commitment working with Beyond Celiac, a non profit focused on life beyond the disease.
In his spare time, Brett enjoys coaching travel soccer. He resides in Voorhees with his wife, Lauren, and daughters, Hailey and Jordana.
