Jason Ravitz
Vice President of Retail Operations
Thriving on the fast-paced nature of the retail industry, Jason Ravitz maximizes the efficiency of Ravitz Family Markets’ retail operations and evaluates potential new locations and real estate opportunities. Jason also serves on the Wakefern Food Corporation Sales and Merchandising Committee/Advertising Committee, which evaluates the profitability of the co-op’s different divisions. He is also a member of the operating committee for Wakefern’s subsidiary Price Rite.
Jason’s key accomplishments include implementing a digital inventory system that optimized store shelf space and leading the professional development of the company’s management team. He is especially proud of the positive morale and the loyalty of Ravitz Family Markets’ employees.
Jason has worked in every position at Ravitz Family Markets, starting as a cart boy as a teenager. After studying political science and business at Emory College, Jason returned to South Jersey and started his first management position as the supervisor of computer-generated ordering department.
In continuing his family’s tradition of philanthropy, Jason serves as a board member of the Ravitz Family Foundation and helps to grant funds to non-profits and community groups that aid children and families in need. He also serves on the board of directors for the Jewish Community Center of Southern New Jersey and on the board of directors for the NJ Food Council. Jason is also an elected Committeeperson for Voorhees Township and serves as Deputy Mayor.
Jason resides in Voorhees and enjoys spending time with his children Andrew and Jessie. In his spare time, he coaches ice hockey and listens to music.
